Kids SOS 360 App is also very useful as it provides easy access to parents for connecting with their doctors and other services required for child cancer care. There is easy access to online medical records for both doctors and patients, second opinions, or joint case discussions. There is information regarding various NGOs and other required care for childhood cancer.

The doctors can use the electronic medical records for their patients and have long-term data that can be used for follow-up. Even if the doctor or the patient change their place of work or there are different clinics to visit, EMR helps them to organize patient and records easily. In other words, easy to centralize patients to access at ease. Easy to manage appointments, patient records, book keeping, and payments, all in one. Share treatment care, post documents, posters and videos with one go and perform analytics on patients, treatments and more. Relevant features for doctors-Clinical and surgical images can be uploaded

Connecting doctors to empower and be able to support each other
Most of our populations is in rural areas where access to speciality care is difficult and often the next/closer higher medical center is overburdened. There is often difficult to have the infrastructure required to manage certain clinical conditions so referrals are high. In pediatric cancer, the care is a multidisciplinary unit and the need for a dedicated team to manage the children and support their families is essential. There are various hurdles- lack of awareness, lack of expertise, infrastructure, and availability of iagnostics are most common. Even if the doctors are interested, especially those who are looking forward to getting trained in pediatric oncological services later or who have just finished and joined do struggle to get things sorted before they eventually settle down.
The centers which have all the facilities are limited and often the parents travel a lot to have their children treated. The burden in terms of time, finances, and additionally taking care/support for the other family members is huge. The duration of the treatment for cancer is long and later the follow-ups are equally important for the patients as well as the treating doctor.
Ekatrasetu is an effort to have a connection between doctors in non metro areas with a dedicated panel of experts with experience in their respective fields and who are interested to empower others. The experts decide how they want to contribute to the community of doctors/paramedics taking care of children with cancer. The contribution can be in the form of diagnostics, patient treatment support, and setting up departments and protocols. Cancer Kids Strength of Smile Charitable Trust - Community Network initiative is proud to associate with NGO’s for Childhood Cancer support care. #CKSOS Community Network to connect all doctors, paramedics, and NGO’s on a single platform.
With this we aim is to connect NGO’s to create awareness and early diagnosis and speedy treatment/care and unify services like Financial aid, diet and Nutritional information, free or low cost Medicines, Shelter/place to stay while in treatment, free or cost effective lab & Diagnostics, online pro-bono Teleconsultation, Transportation, Palliative Care, Psychological care, Holistic, and Others services that aids in treatments. All these NGO’s are listed in the Kid SOS 360 application for parents to easily access them when in need.
